Swiss Goldline VIP Services

Medical Concierge and VIP Patient Services in Switzerland

Geneva · Lausanne · Zurich · Montreux, clinic access, logistics and discretion for international patients

Swiss Goldline coordinates medical travel to Switzerland for international patients and their families. We arrange clinic and specialist appointments, visa documentation, interpreters, private transfers, accommodation and recovery stays, handled by one named coordinator from the first enquiry to the departure flight.

We are not a clinic and we do not provide medical advice. We handle everything around the treatment so that you and your family only have to deal with the treatment itself.

The process

How medical travel to Switzerland works

Most international patients contact us before they have chosen a clinic. Here is what happens from there.

  1. 01

    Confidential enquiry

You tell us what treatment or assessment you are seeking, your preferred timing, and who will travel with you. We ask only what we need in order to make arrangements.

  2. 02

    Clinic and specialist introductions

We present the Swiss clinics and specialists that handle your treatment category, with their locations, languages and typical waiting times, and we approach them on your behalf. The clinical decision is yours and your doctor's, we do not advise on treatment or rank clinics by medical quality.

  3. 03

    Appointment, cost estimate and documentation

We submit your file, secure appointment dates, and obtain the clinic's written cost estimate. Swiss private clinics normally require a cost estimate to be accepted and a deposit or payment guarantee in place before an international self-pay patient is admitted, we handle that correspondence so there are no surprises at the door.

  4. 04

    Visa and entry documentation

If you need a visa, we obtain the clinic's written confirmation of appointment and treatment cost, which is one of the documents Swiss representations require for a medical visit. We prepare the supporting file; the application itself is yours to submit.

  5. 05

    Arrival and treatment

A chauffeur meets your flight, at the main terminal or plane-side at the private aviation terminal, and takes you to your accommodation or directly to the clinic. An interpreter attends appointments with you if you need one. Your coordinator is reachable throughout and attends admissions where you want them present.

  6. 06

    Recovery and departure

We arrange post-treatment accommodation suited to recovery, follow-up appointments, pharmacy collection, nursing support at your accommodation where required, and the transfer to your departure flight. We can also send your medical file to your doctor at home, with your written authorisation.

Geneva

VIP medical services in Geneva

Geneva is the entry point for most of our international patients. The city combines a major international airport ten minutes from the centre, a dense concentration of private clinics and specialist practices, and a long-established international patient infrastructure, much of it built around the diplomatic and UN community that has used it for decades.

For patients arriving in Geneva we coordinate appointments across the city's private clinic sector and the surrounding Vaud region, meet flights at Geneva Airport including the private aviation terminals, and arrange accommodation within short reach of the clinic rather than wherever happens to be available. Geneva Airport to the city centre is ten to fifteen minutes; to Lausanne is under an hour; to the clinics above Nyon and Genolier is roughly thirty minutes.

French and English are both working languages across Geneva's private medical sector, and interpreting is available for appointments. If you are arriving from outside Europe, Geneva is the practical choice: it has the widest long-haul connectivity of any Swiss airport and the shortest transfer times to treatment.

Lausanne, Montreux and the Lake Geneva region

Lausanne is Switzerland's second medical hub, with a university hospital and a cluster of private clinics, and it sits thirty minutes from Montreux and the Riviera, where most of our patients spend their recovery. Lakeside hotels and residences in Montreux, Vevey and Clarens are quiet, discreet, and used to guests who are convalescing rather than sightseeing. We arrange recovery stays there with transport to follow-up appointments in Lausanne or Geneva.

Executive health

Executive health check-ups and longevity programmes

Not every medical trip to Switzerland follows a diagnosis. A substantial share of our enquiries are for executive health assessments, a full diagnostic work-up compressed into one or two days, which is what Swiss clinics are genuinely distinctive at: imaging, cardiology, bloods, oncological screening and a specialist consultation completed inside a single visit instead of spread over months of referrals at home.

For board members and executives, discretion is usually the operative requirement rather than luxury. We arrange assessments with arrival and accommodation handled for privacy, bookings can be made under our company name, and transport that does not stop at a public frontage. Nothing about the visit appears in a diary that leaves your office.

Switzerland also has a well-established longevity and wellness-medicine sector, concentrated around Lake Geneva and the Alpine resorts, offering multi-day preventive and regenerative programmes. We arrange access, transfers and accompanying-family logistics for these in the same way.

Executives travelling with security requirements can combine this with our close protection and security-trained chauffeur services. Close protection

Frequently asked questions

What is the "Swiss premium" in luxury medical tourism?

The "Swiss premium" refers to the higher price international patients pay in Switzerland relative to other medical-travel destinations, and what that price buys: short or no waiting times, senior specialists treating patients personally rather than delegating, strictly enforced medical confidentiality, high nurse-to-patient ratios in private clinics, and a regulatory and liability environment that makes shortcuts expensive for the provider. Switzerland does not compete on price and does not try to. Patients choosing Switzerland over lower-cost destinations are generally buying certainty, privacy and continuity of care rather than a cheaper procedure.

What are the hidden costs in Swiss medical tourism packages?

The costs that most often surprise international patients in Switzerland are: the gap between a clinic's initial cost estimate and the final invoice when treatment extends beyond the planned scope; separate billing by the surgeon, anaesthetist, clinic and imaging department as independent invoices rather than one; the deposit or payment guarantee required before admission as a self-pay patient; per-night accommodation charges for a family member staying in the patient's room; follow-up consultations and imaging not included in the original quote; medication and prescriptions at discharge; and translation of medical records.

We ask for the clinic's cost estimate in writing before you commit, and we tell you which items are quoted separately, so the number you plan around is the real one.

Do I need a visa for medical treatment in Switzerland?

It depends on your nationality: citizens of the EU, EFTA and other visa-exempt countries do not need a visa for a short medical visit, while nationals of visa-required countries normally need a Schengen short-stay visa for treatment under 90 days, or a national long-stay visa for longer courses of treatment. Swiss representations typically ask for written confirmation of your appointment from the clinic, evidence that treatment costs are covered or paid in advance, travel medical insurance, and proof of funds for your stay.

We obtain the clinic documentation and prepare the supporting file. We are not immigration advisors and the application is yours to submit, requirements and processing times change, so confirm the current rules with the Swiss embassy or consulate for your country before booking flights.

How do I book an appointment at a Swiss private clinic from abroad?

Most Swiss private clinics have an international patients department that accepts enquiries directly, but they will normally ask for a medical file in French, German or English, a referral or summary from your treating doctor, and a cost guarantee before confirming a date. We submit the file on your behalf, follow up through the clinic's internal process, and come back to you with available dates and a written cost estimate rather than leaving you to chase an inbox in a foreign language.

How much does medical treatment in Switzerland cost?

Swiss treatment costs vary enormously by procedure and clinic, and no honest answer gives a single figure, but Switzerland is among the most expensive healthcare markets in the world, and self-pay international patients should expect to be quoted and to pay in advance.

Rather than estimate, we obtain the clinic's written cost estimate for your specific case before you commit to anything.

Can you arrange a hotel for a discreet medical trip to Switzerland?

Yes. We book accommodation chosen for discretion and proximity to the clinic rather than for prestige, hotels and serviced residences with private or side entrances, lifts to the room without crossing a public lobby, quiet rooms away from event floors, and staff accustomed to guests who are recovering. Bookings can be made under our company name rather than yours. For post-treatment recovery we generally recommend the Lake Geneva Riviera around Montreux and Vevey, which is quiet, thirty minutes from Lausanne's clinics, and used to convalescent guests.

Do you provide medical interpreters?

Yes. We arrange professional interpreters who attend consultations, diagnostic appointments and admissions with you. This matters more than patients expect: consent forms, diagnoses and discharge instructions in Switzerland are issued in French, German or Italian depending on the region, and a translation error in a consent discussion is not a minor inconvenience.

Which clinics do you work with?

We approach clinics and specialists on your behalf across Geneva, Vaud and Zurich rather than working exclusively with a fixed list, which means we are not steering you toward a clinic because of a commercial relationship. We present the options that handle your treatment category and the clinical decision stays with you and your doctor.

Can my family travel with me?

Yes, and most patients do. We arrange accommodation for accompanying family near the clinic, transport for them separately from the patient's schedule, childcare and school-age arrangements for longer stays, and access to the patient's room where the clinic allows it. Family logistics are included in the coordination, not billed as an extra service.

Do you arrange wheelchair-accessible transport and airport assistance?

Yes. We operate wheelchair-accessible vehicles with ramp access and trained door-to-door assistance, and we arrange airport assistance at Geneva and Zurich including meet-and-greet at the aircraft, wheelchair service through the terminal, and fast-track immigration where available.

Is my medical information kept confidential?

Yes. We handle health data under the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, for patients in the EU, the GDPR, both of which treat health data as a special category requiring explicit consent and heightened protection. In practice: we collect only what a clinic needs in order to assess your case, we share it only with clinics you have approved, we never use patient information in marketing or publish client names, and your file is deleted on request.

What happens after treatment?

We arrange your recovery stay, follow-up appointments, pharmacy collection and the transfer to your departure flight, and we can arrange nursing or physiotherapy support at your accommodation where a clinic recommends it. With your written authorisation we send your medical file to your doctor at home, translated if required, so your care continues without a gap.
