Chauffeur, Concierge and Security for WEF Davos

The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting brings heads of state, chief executives and their teams to Davos each January. The 2027 meeting is scheduled for 18 to 22 January. Swiss Goldline plans the week around you: Zurich Airport and private aviation transfers, a dedicated vehicle and chauffeur for the whole stay, security drivers and close protection, and accommodation in Davos, Klosters or the valley.

Davos in WEF week is a logistics question

For one week in January, a small mountain town hosts thousands of participants, delegations, journalists and security staff. Rooms in Davos are reserved many months ahead, access roads are controlled, and a short drive across town can take far longer than usual.

What makes the week work is planning that starts early: accommodation secured, one vehicle and chauffeur assigned to you for the full stay rather than booked ride by ride, and a schedule built around road closures and checkpoints. Planning for January starts the summer before.

Zurich Airport and private aviation transfers to Davos

Most participants fly into Zurich Airport (ZRH). Davos is about 2 hours by road in normal conditions; during the meeting we plan for more, because of traffic and security checks on the access roads. Your chauffeur tracks your flight, meets you in arrivals or at the private aviation terminal, and handles the luggage.

Private jets also use Engadin Airport in Samedan, where the road to Davos crosses a mountain pass and depends on winter conditions. We confirm the best arrival point with you before you book the flight, and all our vehicles run on winter tyres from October to April.

Security zones, vehicle access and timing

During the Annual Meeting, the canton of Graubünden sets up security zones in Davos with entry restrictions, and vehicles on the access roads can be checked by the police. Driving up to the Congress Centre or to a secured hotel requires a vehicle sticker linked to your accreditation or your hotel, with registration deadlines well before the meeting.

We go through this with you early: which venues you need to reach, which access your badge or hotel provides, and where the car can wait. On the day, your chauffeur knows the permitted drop off points, keeps the vehicle ready, and has a walking route to the next venue when traffic stops moving.

Where to stay: Davos, Klosters and the valley

Rooms inside Davos are often taken by the Forum, delegations and partner companies long before the programme is published. Many participants stay in Klosters, about 15 minutes away, or further down the valley, and come into Davos each day.

Our concierge team arranges the accommodation, private dinners and meeting rooms, restaurant tables for the week, and the details of a winter stay in the mountains, all through one coordinator.

Security drivers and close protection in Davos

For executives and public figures, we provide security trained chauffeurs and close protection officers, either as a complete detail or alongside your existing security team. Routes, arrival procedures and the vehicle plan are prepared together, so transport and protection work as one plan during a week when every movement is watched.

Delegations and programmes with several vehicles

For delegations and companies hosting events during the week, we assign dedicated vehicles and chauffeurs for the whole period and coordinate every movement from one schedule: airport arrivals on different days, transfers between venues, evening events and departures. One coordinator holds the full programme, and you receive one invoice at the end.

Frequently asked questions

When is WEF Davos 2027?

The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2027 is scheduled for 18 to 22 January 2027 in Davos and Klosters. Many participants arrive a day or two earlier, so we usually plan transport from the weekend before.

How far ahead should I book a chauffeur for Davos?

As early as possible. Vehicles, chauffeurs and accommodation for WEF week are limited, and planning for January ideally starts the summer before. Later bookings are sometimes possible, so it is worth asking, but the choice narrows quickly in December.

How long is the drive from Zurich Airport to Davos?

About 2 hours in normal conditions. During the Annual Meeting, traffic and security checks on the access roads can add time, so we plan your pickup with a margin and track your flight.

Can your car drive me into the Davos security zone?

That depends on your accreditation. Vehicle access to the Congress Centre and to secured hotels requires a sticker linked to your badge or your hotel, and the registration deadlines fall well before the meeting. We help you plan this early and arrange the transport around the access you have. Swiss Goldline is an independent company and is not affiliated with the World Economic Forum.

Where should I stay if Davos is fully booked?

Klosters, about 15 minutes away, is the usual alternative, and there are further options down the valley. We arrange the accommodation and the daily transfers into Davos, so staying outside town does not cost you meetings.

Can you provide a bodyguard in Davos?

Yes. We provide close protection officers and security trained chauffeurs, as a complete detail or alongside your own team, with routes and arrivals planned together.

How much does a chauffeur in Davos cost during WEF week?

We quote WEF week individually, because the price depends on the vehicles, the number of days, the chauffeurs and whether security is included. Every quote is agreed in writing before the week, with no surprises.
